Chief Executive Officer, LP Energy Services Group
Robert (Bob) Silsbee, Jr. brings more than four decades of leadership experience in power generation, infrastructure development, and large-scale energy project execution to his role as CEO of LP Energy Services Group.
A graduate of Juniata College with a bachelor’s degree in physical science, Bob began his career serving ten years in the U.S. Nuclear Navy, building a strong foundation in engineering discipline and operational excellence. He later spent four years at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory as a Radiological Engineer before joining General Electric in 1999 as a Senior Project Manager.
During his 26-year tenure at GE, Bob led complex turnkey power generation projects across Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Spain, Ireland, California, Russia, Egypt, Turkey, and Algeria. Most notably, he was appointed to lead the reconstruction of Iraq’s power infrastructure, where he directed a multidisciplinary team of project, contract, financial, logistics, and engineering professionals in the development of eighteen power plants capable of producing 7,000 megawatts of electricity.
Bob retired from General Electric in June 2025 and joined LP Energy Services Group in July 2025 as Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he leverages his deep technical expertise and global project leadership experience to guide LPESG’s strategic growth and deliver disciplined, high-performance energy services to clients and partners.
Bob and his wife, Marcia, reside in Council, North Carolina, where they enjoy gardening, caring for their dogs and chickens, and spending time outdoors.
